  12. you really don't need fb to play bejeweled, you know? i can show you places that are more fun, without endangering the balance of the universe...

  13. Das...I am not addicted to Facebook, honest...ummm.

  14. yeah i know, you really don't need it, you can stop anytime ... i was fighting for quite a while to get off of there, but since i finally did, i never ever missed it for one sec! i feel so free now, and when i see something like this tattoo thing, i really know why!

i have just been on vacation, on a camping site in eastern germany, beautiful nature, very basic, but also very free living there ... next to our tent was a big group of maybe 16 to 18 year old kids, and one night i overheard a conversation where they talked about how they felt like having to check facebook all the time, sounded just like they were talking about having to go to the toilet ... or eating ... or breathing ... stuff like that scares the shit out of me. but i am pretty sure people will get bored of fb sooner or later, or something "cooler" will come around the corner. all will be good!

  15. Das, I convince myself to keep it, to stay in touch with old friends I don't see very often...but yes, I know what you mean, kids of today, tsk.

  16. that "to stay in touch with old friends" thing was a big argument for me, too. but i asked myself, is it really worth it? there's lots of other ways to communicate besides fb, people can contact me through my blog and see what i am doing there. the reason why i started a blog was actually to do my own thing outside of fb. all the stuff i shared on fb and noone ever noticed, because there was just too much stuff happening there, i would now share on my blog, and whoever is really interested to see that, they can go there. i can use my skills to do my own thing, why use a generic site that some asshole made instead? DIY, baby! :)

btw, have you seen "The Social Network", the movie? because for me, that was the final straw to get rid of fb once and for all. i really don't want to be involved with that bastard zuckerberg and his bs "company" any longer...

  17. Das, bet you feel alive and free now you've ridden yourself of FB. I shall have to wean myself off it gradually, if that's possible. I hate the idea of it, too.
